Precautions after cervical vertebral surgery
Standing position: to keep the upper back straight, head do not always bending forward, can put one hand into the pants pocket to reduce the pressure on neck.
Sitting position: When sitting down, the hand can be placed on the armrest of the chair, the hand will not dangling down to put more pressure on the neck.
Sleeping position: it is best to lie flat, if you are used to sleeping sideways, can put a pillow on the side, and then put your hand on the pillow.
Some patients after undergone cervical vertebral surgery, the neck still has a slight pain, the degree of neck pain has alleviate a lot after surgery, but the pressure on the nerve was so chronic and became swollen, so thats why it will take sometimes to slowly recover, it is recommended to do some treatment to speed up self-healing ability, while doing post surgery neck exercise to help recover the condition.
Stretching after cervical vertebral surgery:
It is best to ask your doctor before performing neck exercise to determine whether cervical spine are stable for exercise, and it is recommended that you start after approximately two to three weeks after the neck is stabled.
